Hawthorn Heights

On November 24th while his band was in Washington D.C's 9:30 club, the guitarist of Hawthorn Height, Casey Calvert young at 26 passed in his sleep. Reason for death is unknown. Beside being beloved by his own band, many bands showed remorse for Calvert.

"Casey was a fun guy, he was always relaxed, and had a great attitude about touring," said FOB guitarist Joe Trohman. "And he knew how to hang out. I remember that [Black Clouds and Underdogs] tour we did together in Spring 2006, and how much fun it was, and whenever the after-show hang commenced, he was always present with the lone group of us that would get together and just shoot the s--- for hours until we left whichever venue we were at that night. Definitely a really personable guy — always sweet to anyone who walked up to him and I never saw him without a smile. We'll all miss him."

Project Runway, WHAT WHAT!!

Yes, it has finally returned. My absolute favorite Bravo tv show, Project Runway. The show is hosted by Victoria Secrets own, Heidi Klum and a panel of industry luminaries, including judges Michael Kors, top women's and men's wear designer and Nina Garcia, Elle magazine fashion director, as they decide who is “in” and who is “out.” And of coarse my favorite person on the show Tim Gunn, Chief Creative Officer at Liz Claiborne, Inc. once again acts as a mentor to the contestants as they navigate weekly fashion challenges. It is the start of the fourth season with 15 contestants. The show whittles down to a final three who show their final line in front of an audience at New York’s Fashion Week. The winner walks away with a cash prize of $100,000 from TRESemme professional hair care in order to start their own line. They will also have the opportunity to sell a fashion line on Bluefly.com. And will be awarded a 2008 Saturn Astra. How amazing is that. I watch this show religiously and get so excited by all the amazing designs. I can’t believe how beautiful some of these clothes come out to the runway and you watch the designer as they make it. I’ll be looking forward to see who the winner of the 4th season is.

Ahh, I have a priest stalking me!!

Well, no I do not have a priest stalking me, but someone else does. Having a stalker is never a funny thing. It’s a serious matter which sometimes leads to injuries or death of the person being stalked. To know that you have a stalker is a scary thing. Recently late-night talk show host Conan O’Brien has learned that he indeed has a stalker. His stalker is a Massachusetts native as well as O’Brien’s hometown priest. Reverend David Ajemian, 46 worked at a Stoneham Catholic church and wrote O’Brien three threatening letters on parish letterhead, contacted his parents, and showed up to his studio. He was arrested last week while trying to enter a taping session of
Conan’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” at New York’s Rockefeller Plaza.

Ajemian referred to himself as “your priest stalker” in one note. He also complained of not being allowed in to see an earlier taping of the show. The letters and e-mails began in September 2006 and continued after Ajemian was asked to stop.

The priest could face up to a year in prison if convicted on charges of aggravated harassment and stalking. Ajemian is a graduate of Harvard and the John XXIII National Seminary and was ordained in May 2001. The New York Times reports that the priest said in his correspondence that he had followed Mr. O'Brien's career since they both attended Harvard.

Harry Potter Hoo-Rah

Yes, I am a Harry Potter movie fan. I do enjoy watching the movies and will admit to seeing them on their nights of debut. I always catch the midnight showings because I am just fascinated with Harry Potter and his wizard friends. (HAHA) I was searching around reading different articles written on entertainment and topics alike. I found one that was titled J.K. Rowling Outs Hogwarts Character I was so excited to find out which character J.K Rowling had outted. I know of the controversy that has risen from the Harry Potter books. Christian groups as well as others protested to ban Harry Potter books because it talks about witch-craft.

Carnagie Hall was where Rowling made her announcement before a full house. She outed the beloved character Albus Dumbledore, the master wizard and Headmaster of Hogwarts.

She then explained that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards. 'Falling in love can blind us to an extent,' Rowling said of Dumbledore's feelings, adding that Dumbledore was 'horribly, terribly let down.'

Spice Girls Back in Action

I was so upset finding out that the english pop girl group the Spice Girls were breaking up. I was young and just starting to identify music. I knew what I liked and didn't like. And Spice Girls was something I loved.

Now, I come to find out many years later that the girls are putting together a reuinion tour. How awesome is that!? Well I guess it would of been more awesome if I was still a ten year old girl obsessed with them. Well after all that, they are putting an album out in stores. All the girls are back together and the album will debut on November 13.

Entitled "Greatest Hits," the album will feature 13 of the girl group's biggest hits as well as two new singles, "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" and "Voodoo." The album will additionally be sold on various music sites including iTunes, and die-hard fans can pre-order themselves a copy of the CD on the Victoria's Secret Website for 24 hours between midinight on Oct. 17-18.

As for this world tour, it begins December 2nd. So don't forget, while your shopping for bras and panties pick up the Spices Girls newest album.

Boy lost in the Amazon!!

What the heck? How does that happen? Do you even know what I'm talking about? HA Ok well, a little three year old boy was lost in the Amazon for eleven whole days. How incredible is that!? Ok so you might be wondering..how does a three year old get lost? Reports say that he followed his father into the forrest..what I'm thinking is, where is the mother to be watching after him? How can a three year old child just wonder off by themself with no adult supervision and if I'm wrong and the father led the boy into the forrest what in gods name is wrong with this father!?

Neilson Oliveira Lima was apparently unharmed apart from suffering from dehydration and having thorns in his feet and legs, police said. The boy disappeared from his home in the rural community of Pupuai on September 16. He was found on September 27 about two miles away. He was found by his cousin, who was out hunting.

It seems as if the family didn't search enough for him if his "cousin" found him while he was off hunting, mind you it was eleven days later. And boy is he lucky to be alive. If I don't eat for like three hours I swear that I will die of starvation. I thought this was kind of intersting even though its not relative to my other blogs. However it is sort of entertainment I got a laugh out of reading about it.

Don Imus Back on Air?

Wow, who would of thought it. Six months after the "nappy headed ho" firestorm that led to the firing of shock jock Don Imus, the radio veteran may return to the airwaves soon as part of a new deal with Citadel Broadcasting. The impending deal appears to rule out any potential move to satellite radio, Variety reports. Meanwhile, Sirius Satellite Radio chief Mel Karmazin indicated over the summer that he, too, would be interested in signing Imus to a deal.

As you all SHOULD know, Imus was fired this past year for stating that the girls of the Rutgers Basketball team were all nappy headed hos. I can understand that he was only "joking" but some things can't be taken lightly, or they turn into something else. After the big episode that was a product of Imus's talk radio show, he apologized. He won a 20 million dollar settlement with CBS radio to terminate the contract.

The civil suits against him, including one from a Rutgers women's basketball team member, were dropped.

Some people think that it was taken out of control and to the next level. While others disagree and feel that he made a clear racist remark to the girls on the Rutgers basketball team. If you ask me what I think, I don't really care. I never heard Don Imus on the radio and I only heard that one quote that he spoke about those girls. If I heard the entire broadcast maybe I could have a substantial opinion about him. But I don't, so as for me, I can care less.
