Soulja Boi

I have a very good friend who attends school down in Florida at the University of Central Florida. Over the summer of 2007 my friend had to attend summer classes in order to take the major he desired. After a month or so down in Florida taking summer courses he flew back north to our home state of New Jersey. With him he brought the song that now blasts out of every car window and has its own dance. The song I refer to is, "Crank That" by Soulja Boy. This song is heard everyday and has swept the nation. Its vulgar lyrics that have a disturbing meaning is what all the kids today listen to and repeat religiously. Every one who hears this song automatically begins to show off their dance moves by performing the "crank that" dance. I would like to give credit to my friend who introduced this song to me so early in the summer. I feel like I was able to hear it before most people I know. However, eventually I would have heard this song, so recognition is not something I would really like to award to my dear friend. And as for hearing it, I would much rather not of heard this song...ever.

Memoir

A memoir, in simple words can be defined as an autobiography. It is written in a less structured form compared to a typical autobiography and is told in chronological order from childhood to adulthood. A memoir is also most often written in first person point of view. It is based on personal experiences and memory. In some terms a memoir can somewhat be falsified. The story line is true however some events and details may be exaggerations of the truth.

Actress Vanessa Anne Hudgens was born on December 14, 1988, in Salinas, California, but grew up in San Diego. Vanessa is most famous for her roles of Corrie on the hit children show "The Suite Life of Zack And Cody" and Gabrielle Montiz on the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical." Reports claimed that the gorgeous brunette had snapped a picture with a camera phone for her High School Musical sweetie Zac Efron. These nude photos accidently got into the hands of a third party and now are streaming all over the web. Hudgens apologizes to Disney for the embarassing pics that are now floating around the internet. She said: “I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me. I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends.” Disney accepts the apoloy and hopes that she learns from this mistake. I think Hudgens made a mistake and should not be held accountable for the pics she took. She meant them to be seen by her boyfriend and her boyfriend only. I think that people these days don't respect that privacy of others. Granted she is a famous t.v/movie star, she still needs her own privacy. If it were any ordinary person no one would say anything about it.

Rock of Love

The popular television show "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" airs on VH1's V-Spot. It stars the famous lead singer of the band Poison. With a twenty year run as lead singer of the band Poison, Bret Michaels is one of the most enduring rock musicians of the past two decades. In this reality TV series 20 females are picked to live in a house together and compete for the love of Bret Michaels. Each week in the series girls are eliminated and some girls are given passes to move on to the proceeding week. In every episode the girls grow fonder and fonder of the beloved Bret Michaels. As time goes on tensions between the girls heat up in the house. The girls on the show form alliances as well as make enemies. As girls team up, they blow up the spots of others in the house. This may result in the decision of Bret as to whether the girl shall stay or go. At the beginning of the episode, Bret rolls up to his pad in the Hollywood Hills. His security guy, Big John, introduces him to the ladies. They’re a motley crew let me tell you. Some of these women look just like what the ‘cat dragged in’. These roses got a few ‘thorns’ in ‘em, okay. Need I go on? Weeks have passed and in each episode the girls endured both physical and communication competitions with each other. They were judged and decisions were made as to which girls would stay and which girls would leave. The girls picked to compete are some of the trashiest, dumbest, platinum blonde dyed bimbos I’ve ever witnessed. In the end, Bret picks the raging Heather over the sluty manipulative red-headed Lacey. Now the final two compete on two long lived days of dates with Bret. Elimination time has finally come. Bret couldn’t come to one decision so he asks the two finalist Jes and Heather if they are willing to share Bret, and both be his girlfriend. Heather agrees to the proposition, but Jes feels in her heart that it isn’t right; she wants Bret for her not to be shared. And with that being said, Bret felt that Jes was the right one for her. So after all was said and done the one to go home with Bret that night was Jes. I was rooting for her through all 12 episodes.

Britney's performance at the MTV 2007 VMA's

Sunday, September 9, Britney Spears opened the VMA's with a poolry delivered performance. Britney delivered what was destined to be the most talked about performance for all the wrong reasons. Starting the show off with her new single "Gimme More," Britney Spears looked completly off and unprepared. She went through her dance moves with hardly any enthusiasm. It was as if she had forgotten her entire routine and barley got through it. And to make it all worse, she seemed completely out of shape to be appearing in front of millions of viewers in her skimpy little two-piece. In my opinion it was the worst Britney Spears perfomance I have ever seen. And I think many will agree.
